Generations
of youngsters worldwide have been weaned on the adventures
of Tom, the conspiring cat who is forever on the tail of his
elusive nemesis Jerry the mouse. Over their 60-year history
the legendary cat-and-mouse team have been responsible for
some of animation's finest moments...
Volume
10 in
the Tom and Jerry collection is very hit and miss.
Most of the cartoons included here are from the early years
and are not particularly great quality - which probably explains
why you get an extra half an hour's worth of animated episodes.
One
and a half hour of Tom and Jerry should keep most kiddies
(as well as adults) entertained for.... well a hour and a
half. Although, my attention was, believe it or not, starting
to go towards the end. Some of the jokes would have been fresh
when these episodes were first released, but they have been
done to death since then.
I
also found it amusing that the check box on the back of the
video claimed there was no violence in these cartoons. Hmmm.
I know a few censor groups who would argue strongly with that.
Not
the greatest collection of cartoons, but if you are an avid
Tom and Jerry fan some of these early epsiodes will
be entertaining.
