You have been chosen from over 10 000 Jedi in the Galactic Republic to undertake a perilous mission. You must stop the Trade Federation from carrying out their evil plot and protect the Republic...

When you begin playing Star Wars: Jedi Power Battles you can choose from three characters to play as. You can be either Obi-Wan Kenobi, Qui-Gon Jinn or Mace Windu. The game plays very much like THQ's Obi-Wan's Adventures that it launched for the Gameboy Colour last year. And to be honest, if you already own that game then Jedi Power Battles will seem a little pointless to you.

The in-game graphics are almost identical to the previous game (although to be fair the gameplay is far more engaging). What makes this worthy of a Gameboy Advance release is rather puzzling? The whole production feels as though it was originally designed for the Gameboy Colour and then just stuck into a Gameboy Advance cartridge at the last minute.

Don't get me wrong, this is a very good game, but it has been released way to late. Releasing this game two months before Star Wars: Episode II is due to hit the cinema screens seems to be a shameless way of cashing in on the series and let's face it, after May this game will be too out of date for most fans.

If you loved Obi-Wan's Adventures and want more of the same then you'll love it - I did. But I'm afraid I can only give this 5/10 as it is just re-treading old ground and at £35 fans will be expecting more.
