Take to the air in the hottest military hardware on the planet. The Eurofighter Typhoon and Eurocopter Tiger offer scorching performance for the budding Top Gun pilot looking to achieve air superiority and domination of the battlefield...

The Eurofighter Typhoon and Eurocopter Tiger: Add-on for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004 / FSX allows Flight Sim fans the opportunity to sit in the cockpit of two of Europe's most impressive aircraft.

The Typhoon is widely regarded as the finest modern fighter aircraft ever built and it is easy to see why with state of the art avionics in a high performance airframe that offers unprecedented control and manoeuvrability. The Eurofighter Typhoon is so intuitive to fly it seems to merge seamlessly with the pilot, blending pilot and aircraft into the ultimate combat machine. With 22 variants from a range of European nations, each painstakingly recreated and complete with highly detailed custom animations and a range of ordnance this Typhoon is so real you can almost feel the G-forces.

In partnership with the Typhoon, the Eurocopter Tiger also showcases the pinnacle of European military aviation with an attack helicopter that single handedly rewrites the rule book on rotary combat. With five ultra-realistic variants including armed reconnaissance, air to air combat, and the devastating Tiger UHT tank killer this collection really packs a punch. Whether pushing the performance envelope of the astounding Eurofighter Typhoon at supersonic speed or methodically decimating the battlefield with the Eurocopter Tiger one thing is certain, these elite aircraft demand the finest pilots and reward the best of the best with an experience of a lifetime. If you have the stamina then strap yourself in...

This game also comes with additional scenery that allows you to add Rostock Laage airport. the regional airport of Rostock, Germany, to the numerous ones already in the Flight Simulator database.

Both the Typhoon and the Tiger are pretty easy to fly. If you are a serious Flight Sim fan, then you'll love the attention to detail and little touches that have been added to enhance your flying experience. And, if you are the sort of person who just likes to load up Flight Sim every now and then and zip around pulling acrobatic manoeuvres and then crashing when you've had enough, you'll be glad to hear that it's easy to hit the thrusters and sail into the air in a matter of seconds. It's also fairly easy to land both craft too.

As you'd expect, there are a number of liveries for different nationalities air forces to chose from. The sound is also pretty impressive, especially for the Typhoon, and helps to add to the thrill of soaring through the sky.

I had a bit of a hiccup with the installation process. Like most people I assumed (as it stated in the manual) that the game would automatically install in the correct folder in Microsoft Flight Simulator. For some reason it didn't, and so I had to uninstall and then reinstall the game making sure that it was saving to the correct place. This is not really a huge problem if you follow the instruction manual - which less and less people seem to do these days (me included it would seem).

If you are passionate about Flight Simulator, then this is an essential purchase. The fact that First Class Simulations also includes an add-on airport means that fans are getting even more value for money.
