W.A.R.P. is simple, yet surprisingly addictive.

W.A.R.P. is an old skool space-themed multidirectional shooter arcade video game, which is simple, yet surprisingly addictive.

The game is straightforward enough: pilot your spaceship around the screen towards a wormhole, which will take you to the next level. However there are obstacles that will get in your way, not to mention alien craft that will fire at you. Collide with these hazards and it's game over - you'll be transported to the beginning of that level.

Sounds easy, right? Well, it's not quite as simple as you might think. The inertia of your craft play a massive part in getting to grips with the game's physics. There are no reverse thrusters, so once your ship begins to move forward you'll have to steer to ensure you don't hit any of the obstacles in the area. You also can't fly off the screen as that also spells instant death.

For the incredibly low RRP, this is a total blast. I found myself constantly drawn back to it and this is one game where you're constantly saying to yourself: "Just one last try", as your craft is obliterated.

The addition of three different challenge modes means that this is a game you'll return to time and time again.

It might not be one of the best looking games, but it's incredibly moreish.
