Milan Records releases the soundtrack to The Sea Beast, with music by three-time Grammy award-winning composer Mark Mancina. In an era when terrifying beasts roamed the seas, monster hunters were celebrated heroes - and none were more beloved than the great Jacob Holland. But when young Maisie Brumble stows away on his fabled ship, he’s saddled with an unexpected ally. Together they embark on an epic journey into uncharted waters and make history. The film takes us to where the map ends, and the true adventure begins...

The soundtrack to The Sea Beast leans on familiar pirate-esque theme tropes in order to springboard off into a much darker, edgier score. This approach works incredibly well to set the tone and atmosphere before diving into uncharted waters.

Talking about the music, composer Mark Mancina (Sorcery) says: "How grateful I am for the opportunity to have composed The Sea Beast’s original score. A successful score, in my opinion, is one that deeply enhances the film, yet can stand on its own. I think our team accomplished that with this score."

There's an interesting mix of themes across the 18 tracks (46 min, 50 sec). There's even a sea shanty in the form of 'Captain Crow'. True to Mancina's word, this is a score that works wonderfully as a standalone collection of themes and set pieces.
