Behold New York Zero. Prototype 2 extends the experience of becoming the ultimate shape-shifting weapon. A vicious viral outbreak has killed Sgt James Heller’s family and transformed him into a Prototype. Powered by revolutionary shapeshifting powers, you must hunt, kill and consume your way across the ravaged wasteland of New York Zero to take revenge on the man responsible: Alex Mercer...

Prototype 2 is the follow up to 2009's Prototype. This time around you play James Heller, who is on the heels of Alex Mercer from the first game, who Heller blames for the death of his family. You have been transformed, by the virus Mercer released, into a mutant. One of the skills you now possess is the ability to consume others and take their memory and appearance. You also have super human powers that allow you to run up buildings and jump large distances.

The consuming of others allows you to obtain special skills. For example if you consume a SWAT team member who is proficient with a rocket launcher, you'll be able to use that weapon also. In addition, to access restricted areas, you'll need to consume select individuals in order to use their codes or biometric information in order to enter locked doors.

As you progress through the levels you gain more skills and abilities which ensure that you're never bored of the relentless quest of hunting the city for your next objective and carrying it out successfully. Or, you can just run around the city causing havoc - which is a lot of fun.

Prototype 2 takes the original game and improves upon it. Those that loved the first outing will get a huge blast from this.
